
Johnson is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, a black fraternity that was formed in 1911 at Indiana University in Bloomington, and the hand sign you see in the pictures below is a Kappa greeting. Oh yeah? Thankfully and tragically, the Washington Post is here to dispel that rumor: So now, in addition to the foregone conclusion that Ferguson teen Michael Brown was most definitely a gangsta hopped up on marijuana and rap music, some doofus on the interwebs is just wonderin' if Missouri Highway Patrol Captain Ron Johnson may also be flashing gang signs, as every single black person does because they are all in gangs, as we all know. Stop saying “I don’t get what they mean by disrespect” and try to understand. Reach out to someone who is different than you and REALLY get to know that person. Respect is all some individuals feel they have-so when they feel disrespected, the reaction can be swift and strong against an individual, community or system. It seems that perceived disrespect causes more issues than respect can garner. Therefore people defined respect by the ability to influence, control and communicate within their own sphere of influence. Why? Possible Answers: In some communities, particularly urban communities that lack substantial resources, material items were not the things that made people respect you as in more affluent communities.
